Introducing Radiosurgery-the effective comfortable way to remove facial veins, spider veins, and cosmetic skin lesions with minimal recovery time!
Now you can remove those small, unsightly purple and red spider veins that appear on your face, nose or other parts of your body-with minimal discomfort and virtually no recovery time. It's called Radiosurgery.
Radiosurgery uses high frequency energy to provide results with microscopic precision. The extremely fine, predictable placement of the treatment device means that minimal or no scarring, rapid healing, and immediate improvement in your appearance. Best of all Radiosurgery is now available to you through Dr. Raymond Dent at Beyond Skin Care.
How does radiosurgery work? Radiosurgery is the passage of ultrahigh-frequency radio waves into the skin to eliminate facial veins and spider veins. The frequency is higher than AM radios, but lower than the frequency of a television.
Radiosurgery uses very fine, precise, gentle applications. A thin micro-insulated wire is gently placed on the unwanted vein. Spider veins are removed with minimal tissue trauma, no stitches needed and rapid healing time. Only the tissue cells immediately adjacent to the electrode are affected because there is very little heat produced.
How does radiosurgery differ from other procedures for removing spider veins and cosmetic lesions such as warts and moles? Lasers and scalpels are less delicate than radiosurgery and can cause excessive tissue damage. This causes slower healing, with more redness, inflammation and possible scarring.
Sclerotherapy (injection of fluids to scar down veins) is not only difficult and painful but can have significant complications.
Do I have to go to the hospital for radiosurgery? Radiosurgery can be performed right in your doctor's office. The procedure takes only a few minutes. Usually only topical anesthesia gel is used. You'll only feel a little tingly sensation. Bleeding is minimal, if at all.
What are the benefits of radiosurgery? Radiosurgery means excellent and consistent results with minimal to no bruising, swelling, scarring or other complications. Plus radiosurgery is gentle, effective and you'll have minimal recovery time.
What do I need to do after I have had radiosurgery? Just wash the area a couple of times a day and apply a soothing gel or lotion with aloe. Make-up can be applied after 24 hours. Those who are treated for spider veins on their legs should minimize the amount of time they spend standing for a couple of days. This will maximize treatment results.
How do I know if radiosurgery is right for me? Anyone with facial veins, spider veins or cosmetic lesions, and wishing to improve their appearance is a potential candidate. After a brief examination, Dr. Dent will help you determine if radiosurgery is for you.
How many treatments will I need and how long does the procedure take? The number of treatments needed to improve your appearance will depend on the number of veins or cosmetic lesions. Treatment only takes a few minutes. Dr. Dent may be able to examine and perform the procedure during the same visit. Occasionally, a second visit may be needed for more extensive cases.
